cannot delete or move messages

Larry

Error: Microsoft Outlook: The messaging interface has
returned an unknown error. If the problem persists,
restart Outlook.

Alert box pops up when I try to right click on a message
and select Delete. Also happened once when trying to
move the messages to another folder, although after
restarting Outlook, I was able to move the messages.
Still cannot delete messages, however. This behavior
just started happening today.

Environment:
Outlook 2000 SP-3
Windows XP SP-1
EarthLink ISP

Actions:
Used detect and repair to reinstall Outlook
Restart Windows

Would have been nice for M$ to alert me that I had
reached some hidden limit in number of messages in
Outlook, like when the deleted folder reaches 16,211
(!?). I returned from a week long trip to a an inbox
full of spam.

Wasted another hour of my life on M$. Sorry, a bit
bitter after going through this type of treatment from
this company continually for 9 years since WfW. Lord
love a monopoly.

I have the same problem except with Outlook 2002 SP-2.
There is a folder with 1,611 messages in it and I cannot
delete the folder or any messages in it. Here is a link
to the fix for your Outlook 2000 issue.

If this doesn't take care of your problem you may have to
create a new profile.

I guess they never envisioned all that spam. It would be nice if they
increased the limit or made some provision including a warning. It would
be much nicer if the SPAMers were all taken out south of town and tarred and
feathered.
