cannot delete fonts

Some unwanted fonts installed themselves on my computer (showing up with
names like "GulimChe, Simsun, MingLiu) but when I try to delete them (by
going to Control Panel, Fonts), I get the error message: Cannot delete
simsun: "Access denied. Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected
and that the file is not currently in use." The only remotely relevant entry
in the knowledge base talks about getting permission from my administrator,
but I am just a home user. I tried starting in safe mode and deleting, same
thing.

I have the exact problem you do...did you ever get an answer to your

know how to fix this very obnoxious problem?
