Cannot delete Folder

I'm trying to delete the folder "C:\Program Files\K-Lite Codec
Pack\ffdshow".

When i try to delete the folder the following appears:
Error Deleting File or Folder - Cannot remove ffdshow: The directory is
not empty.

And when i try to open it, the window freezes and after a while the
following appears:
The disk in drive C is not formatted. Do you want to format it now?

I have resolved the problem with the Windows XP Recovery console using
CHKDSK
