cannot delete file

I inadvertently loaded a file called "hurl" to my computer. I am
trying to delete it but get the message "Cannot delete file: It is
being used by another person or program. Close any programs that might
be using the file and try again." I know of no other person or program
using the file. I have closed everything else down but still cannot
delete this file. Any help on this?

Thanks a million. The instructions at petri.co.il/delete worked. I
was able to delete the file without any problems. Thanks again.
