Running XP Pro, with current updates.
Like many other people, I would occasionally get the message "Cannot
delete file. It is being used by another person or program". However,
in the last couple of weeks or so, I get this message often - perhaps
as often as not. This was never the case before.
The culprit is always Windows Explorer, and I'm always able to release
the handle using Process Explorer and delete the file thereafter, but
I'm puzzled as to why the sudden increased frequency of this message.
Is there something I can look at that would provide a clue?
Thanks for any advice.
