Cannot Delete Empty Folder!

Justin

Hello everyone. From the beginning...

A friend got me Diskeeper 8.0 as a gift and I installed it
and have been using it, but realized that I like the
native defragger better. So I uninstalled it and when I
went to delete the left-over "Executive Software" folder
in program files, I get the following error message:

Cannot delete Diskeeper: Cannot find the specified file.

Make sure you specify the correct path and file name.

I tried to delete the folder in safe mode with no luck. I
also went into the Recovery Console and tried to use the
RD and RMDIR commands to delete the folder and I end up
with an error message that says: The parameter is invalid.
Type /? for help.

I then went into Security Options (Under Local Security
Policy in Administrative Tools in the Control Panel) and
enabled the following:

1. Recovery Console - Allow automatic login to
administrator
2. Recovery Console - Allow floppy copy and access to all
drives and all folders.

I then went back into the Recovery Console, navigated to
C:\ and typed in both:
RD C:\Program Files\Executive Software\Diskeeper
-and-
RMDIR C:\Programfiles\Executive Software\Diskeeper

And with both commands I get the same error message: The
parameter is invalid. Type /? for help. What else can I
do? Thank you all for your help.

Justin - try rebooting and then try deleting the folder - works most times.

Ok, I did that and it told me that I have full permissions
for this folder. I should be able to delete it.
