Cannot delete directory

I cannot delete a directory. Any ideas to try? I tried
from command prompt. It sayes - The specified file cannot
be found." It is a directory that I am trying to delete. I
can add and remove items in the directory but not the
directory itself.

Schedule a CHKDSK x: /f
for the drive. Shutdown and reboot.
Say more if still an issue.

I presume you are using the
RD command.

And almost too obvious to consider: are you trying to remove a directory with
spaces in it's name and not surrounding it with quotes?
