cannot delete...again

when i try and empty my recycle bin i get the error message canno
delete, cannot read from source file or disk. i did tr
start/control/pane/system/hardware and stop write cacheing. and i
worked for a bit. now i cant delete from either my hard drive o
external hard drives. can anyone help please
