Cannot delete a folder

At one time I had an FTP server running on my win2k
server. After getting hacked, I shut down and removed
the FTP server.

The hacker seems to have left a directory with ~3000
subdirectories that I cannot do anything with including
taking control and deleting.

Someone told me there was a utility in the win2k resource
kit to help with this but I can't seem to find anything.
Any ideas?

Search google groups for unable to delete and short file names or dir /x.

The issue has been discussed in detail (I alone have around 5 posts) and
you can use step-by-step instructions there. If the dir /x solution does not
apply to you, re-ask the question and specify.
