Cannot delete 1 message in Inbox

I have Outlook 2007 and there is one message in my Inbox which I cannot
delete. I also cannot move it to the deleted folder.
What could cause this problem and how can I delete this message. I run
scanpst already but still the same problem.
Thank you

Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunatelly I cannot tell you as this
computer at a customers site. I just got informed by email myself but I will
have a look tomorrow myself. The reason I posted this message was because it
sounds very weird and I never seen anything like this.
I will keep you posted.

What happens when you hold Shift down when trying to delete it?

Thanks both you guys for the input. SHIFT+Delete doesn't work either, I have
tried that already.

When I try to delete the message I get the following error:
THE MESSAGE INTERFACE HAS RETURNED AN UNKNOWN ERROR. IF THE PROBLEM PERSISTS
RESTART OUTLOOK

Now I have experienced two more problems. They are when:

I press option or want to block sender I get the following error:
THE MESSAGE YOU SPECIFIED CANNOT BE FOUND
and
When I try to mark a message as read or unread I get the following error:
CANNOT MARK THE ITEMS AS READ OR UNREAD. MOST LIKELY CAUSES ARE
You don't have permission to modify these items
These folders do not support marking items as read or unread
You did not select anything to mark as read or unread
The server is unavailable

I have not idea how to cope with this issue. Any ideas. Thanks

Just what type of account it this? It certainly can't be a POP account.

Thanks again. However it is a pop3 account.

I've never seen that particular error, nor have I every seen anyone report
it. Hm.

Well, as long as its a POP account, create a new PST, make the new PST the
delivery location, then move everything BUT the offending message from the
old PST to the new one. Then close the old PST. Message gone.
