Have had a quick look at previous questions. I am endeavouring to copy a word
folder to a CD(eventually). I realise that I cannot do it direct, so I have
followed the On Line assistance "Copy files to a CD', however I am still
running into trouble. I go into My computer and and select folder I wish to
copy.I then select copy this folder from the File and Folder tasks. I then
select copy to Drive D (CD drive) in the Copy Items box. This is a far as I
can go. Error message says D Drive not accessible. Incorrect function. Where
am I going wrong?

If we can assume that you have a blank unformatted CDR disc in the drive and
that drive is capable of writing to it, then you need to use your disc
mastering software eg Nero to create a multisession data disc and add that
file to the disc in the process.

The latest versions of Windows will let you do this. However, for earlier
versions you need separate software to write to a CD. Even though my Windows
will let me do this, I prefer to use the dedicated software. The software
came with your CD-ROM (or your computer). Often Nero is used for this.

I am having a similar problem. All of a sudden now when I copy files to a
cd, the wizard goes through the process, ejects the cd, then it hangs up
before getting to the finish part. It hangs on 5 seconds and does nothing.
I have to cold boot to shut down and start over. What's happening?

Impossible to say from that limited amount of information - which does not
even mention the software in use! This group is for Microsoft Word. You
would do better asking in one of the groups pertinent to the software in
question.

I am using Microsoft Word. I am using the cd writer wizard in word. Can you
still help with any info?

I can't say that I have ever heard of a CD Writer wizard in Word - which
would be an unusual inclusion as saving direct to CD is very bad practice
and usually results in corrupt documents.
