Cannot copy file: Invalid MS-DOS function

Trying to copy files from a CD. After a short while I
keep getting booted out with the message "cannot copy
file: invalid MS-DOS function".
It seems to happen whenever I try to copy a large file.
Any reason why and is there a fix for this? BTW I'm
running Windows XP and I have a ton of ram and free HD
space.

It could be it is a dos file/function that XP no longer
supports. You might want to check on the compatibility of
the files you are trying to copy and XP...Good luck.

I've had this happen to me when a CD was scratched. Used
one of those CD repair chingaderas and the problem went
away.

My 2 cents.
