cannot contact "hotmail" from our Notes mail server

Hi!

Since several days it seems impossible to reach "Hotmail"
accounts from our Lotus Notes mail server.
The bounce message: (dutch)
Router: kan geen verbinding maken met SMTP-host
HOTMAIL.COM vanwege : Server reageert niet

can not contact SMTP host because server does not react

We did not change any config. A viruscheck does not
revail a clue. Has Hotmail a thing like a blacklist or
something?
Anyone?

Thnx, Johan

I've just sent a mail from my work address (Lotus Notes client via Lotus
Domino mail server) to my hotmail address and it took 15 secs to arrive
routing via UK > Finland > Hotmail > Me in the UK

So no issues with Hotmail

Microsoft had changed the rules on us ... for our own protection.

Log in to hotmail via your web browser then click on help.
Read the first entry "Cannot log on to Hotmail from ..."

Here's the text:
To protect our users from the increasing amount of unsolicited junk e-mail
or spam sent from MSN HotmailSympatico Mail accounts through Outlook and
Outlook Express, we have reluctantly had to restrict the new use of Outlook
and Outlook Express to subscribers.

By making this feature part of a subscription, (which requires a user to
provide billing information), we can more effectively manage and put a stop
to abuse of this functionality, and help protect you and others from
unsolicited mail.

If you purchase a subscription service such as MSN Hotmail Plus or MSN
Premium, you get access to your account from Outlook or Outlook Express,
along with many other added features. To see other benefits of upgrading
your MSN HotmailSympatico Mail or MSNSympatico/MSN accounts or to create a
new subscription account please visit our subscription information page.

Thanks for your reply, but i do not use outlook or
outlook express.
In fact i have two Lotus Notes mailservers, from one of
them there's no trouble sending mail to hotmail accounts,
it is just the other one who causes trouble. From one day
to another this started.
