cannot connect to to home network

I have 3 computers that connect to a DSL connection via a
Linksys router. Up until 3 days ago I had no problem
with my setup. For some reason one of the computers
cannot connect to the network at all. When I do an
ipconfig /release I get the message "the operation failed
as no adapter is in the state permissible for this
operation"
When i do a /renew I get the message "An error occurred
while renewing interface Local area connection 4: unable
to contact your DHCp server. request has timed out"

A loopback ping is sucessful, as well as when I ping the
computer name, while on the computer. So I am feeling
that it is not a hardware issue.
No firewalls are installed.
and the IP address is 169.245.15.90 this is nowhere
close to what I would expect... I would expect a
192.168.x.x
PLEASE help!!! I am about to wipe this computer I'm so
frustrated..
thanks!!

It sounds like your Linksys router does not give IP
Addresses to your machines... Maybe you can reset the
router and try again ? Even if your DSL is not logged in
you should get IP addressess for your local machines...
