Cannot connect to Steam

Before installing Service Pack 1 on XP Connecting to the
steam network (www.steampowered.com) was fine. But after
intalling it, I can not connect.

Does Service pack 1 have some sort of firewall that gets
installed?


ps. I have tried opening all the correct ports on my router

Hi Hennik,

SP1 does turn on the XP firewall by default.
Here's is how to Disable Win XP's Firewall:
