Cannot connect at my parents

Help! Must get online on my notebook. At parents house to deliver new Apple
Mac Mini... which by the way works out of the box with their new DSL
service. (Their PC desktop was eaten-up with viruses, so it's in the trash
heap as I write.)

On the other hand, I need to access a Windows-only work-related site with my
notebook, and although I regularly connect at home using high-speed cable,
for some reason I get a message saying that I have only limited connectivity
and cannot get online. When I plug the same ethernet cable into the Apple,
it works with no problems (that is what I am using now).

How embarrassing that Apple's product gets online so much easier than my
trusty old PC notebook with XP.

See if the connection works if you wiggle the 4j-45 plug in its socket. Laptops are famous for losing the plug to movement damage/
loose connection
