Cannot close explorer windows

WHen I launch IE pages come up fine, but when I go to
close the window it just hangs. Also, cannot type a new
address in the address window.
help???

I'm having the same issue. I tried to update the register
and re-install IE but I get the logo error.

I was able to install Windows XP SP1 which is supposed to
install IE but my browser is still hanging and I can't
type in the browser at all.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
