Hi, 2 days ago i bought a new pc. I am trying to network them. The new
pc has WIN XP SP2 and is connected to the router (wireless), while my
other pc also has WIN XP SP2 and also is connected to the router
(wired). On both pcs i have installed all the services, clients and
protocols and the internet works fine. My problem is that i cannot get
the two to network (I have done the "set up a small hoe or small
office network wizard already on both) and on both pc when i click on
the "view workgroup computers" link (in the "My Network Places"
window) i get no response. How can i fix this and get them to
network??
thanks alot.

One of the most common causes of this problem would be a misconfigured or
overlooked personal firewall, or other security component. There are several
other possibilities too, and any might be the cause of your problem. Read this
article with an open mind.

And make sure that NetBT is consistently Enabled on all computers.

Or, we could look at "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" from each computer,
and diagnose the problem. Read this article, and linked articles, and follow
instructions precisely (download browstat!):
