Cannot Change Vertical Rate From 60 -> 75 Hz

Just installed an ASUS 9600XT card in a newly built Shuttle compact
system -- first ATI-based card I've used in a VERY long time. One little
glitch has shown up: I cannot change the vertical rate to the desired 75Hz
to match my temporary idek liyama monitor. I want to match up the settings
to match the other two machines connected to the KVS until the new flat
panel comes it.

I can go in and dial in any vertical rate I want and it stays stuck
stubbornly at 60Hz as displayed on the status LCD on the monitor. I'm sure
that whatever I'm overlooking is minor but I'm making no progress. ATI
software is set for the default single monitor mode. Can you feed me a clue
or two? TIA

Go to advanced on the desktop properties dialog. To the Displays tab. Make
sure the monitor settings let you go past a 60hz setting. With the kvm I use
the monitor vreq can't be detected correctly.
Seems to let me set the freq then.

Yep. I've been going into advanced > monitor and setting it to 75Hz. The
monitor will actually go higher but I just want it to match the other two
machines temporarily. I can always leave it set to 60Hz -- no visible
flicker and I'm not a high-speed gamer but having the computers putting out
the same format makes adjusting the monitor size and centering easier.
Before I put the ATI card in today there was a Matrox G400 in it and it
would set to 75Hz or higher with no problem going through the same KVM so
that shouldn't be the problem.

Thanks.

There was another fix for this but I can't remember what. Maybe I saw it on
the ATI site. Maybe somebody else here will remember.. sorry..
