My homepage is stuck and no matter what i do I cannot change it.
I have ran antivirus scans, numerous antispyware programs, have made sure
spybot has not locked it and disabled startup programs to make sure that
one of them is the culprit.
Where do I go next?

Have you tried this:
Go to the page you want to appear when you start Internet Explorer.
On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the General tab.
Under Home page, click Use Current.

Yes Virg,
I tried that, what is annoying me is that I've just reformatted hd and
reloaded xp due to malware and and my windows taking half hour to boot up
with a warning telling me 'Low on virtuall memory'.
I have scrubbed everything and started again.
I reinstalled BT broadband and now I have this problem.

Cheers Smirnoff, I've already tried it mate.
Somehow i think this is going to be mission impossible.

I just have reinstalled the Btbroadband CD and realised that there is a
checkbox to make BTyahoo the homepage. I obviously overlooked this.
On the freash install I left this box unchecked, unfortuanately it still is
stuck on this page. It has planted it's seed in the machine and now I am
stuck with it.

To remove the ISP locking of your homepage, go to MVP Doug Knox's site
and download this script:

http://www.dougknox.com/security/scripts_desc/nosethomepage.htm, :

Usage: Download nosethomepage.vbs and save this file to your hard drive.
Navigate to where you saved it and double click the file. The VB Script
file will check for the appropriate value and if not found will create
it. You will be notified whether the option is enabled or disabled.

To manually make the change: Start/Run/Regedit [enter]

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control
Panel\HomePage

In the right-hand panel, right-click the HomePage value and select
Modify. Change the value to: 00 00 00 00

Also see these keys:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main] "Start
Page"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]
- DWORD "NoSetHomePage"=dword:00000001

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Restrictions] - DWORD "NoSetHomePage"=dword:00000001

Change the values to 00 00 00 00.

Please be careful working in the registry. That's why the script is a
better idea. Also, take the time to tell your ISP that their behavior
stinks.
