cannot change font sizes on browser screen

Folks,

I had to reload my OS (XP Pro, SP2). Now IE wants to ignore web pages
fonts & style sheets.

Text is huge, colors are screwed up. Worst is all the things I saw here I
have checked (View/Text/Smallest) and Control Panel is set to 96DPI.

I also checked the Registry and changed the "always use my colors", "always
use my font face" & "always use my font size) to 0. They were set to one.

I saw some references to mmview_101.dll as malware, yet CERT, McAffe &
Norton don't list anything, so I'm not sure if this is hoax......or it is
causing these headaches.

So far, McAffe & AdAware came up with nothing.

Any ideas what I missed or what happened ?

Have a look at the settings in IE>tools>internet
options>general>accessability, ensure none of the options are selected.

Hi Bob :)

In addition to Mac's good advice, here are a couple more things you might
try:

Go to Tools> Internet options>Click the Accessibility button at the bottom
Under the Formatting section>make sure the "Ignore font sizes specified on
web
pages" is UNchecked.

Hold hold down the Control key while you rotate the wheel in the mouse back
or forward to see if it will adjust the text size.

To change the font text size go to IE>View>Text Size>and select the size you
want from the list.

Be sure you have the correct Encoding seleted:

View>Encoding>select the one you use.
I have Xp Pro SP2 and I use the Unicode (UTF-8).... and be sure AutoSelect
is UNchecked.

Hope this helps :)
