When I turn computer on I receive the following message:
"Windows 2000 could not start because the following file
is missing or corrupt
<windows 2000 root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
please re-install a copy of the above file"

I tried to reload my "windows 2000 profesional" cd but it
will not start.

Please help, thank you

Try to change your boot sequence to make your CD drive boot up first.
If I remember correctly I had to press F2 (if this is the key to SetUp
in your computer) continuously, so many times while the PC was starting
to boot up otherwise if it passes this part you cannot go to Setup.Keep
trying until you get to setup. You have to do this especially if your
computer is fast. Once you change and save the new boot sequence,
restart your computer with the CD in the drive. Good Luck.
