Cannot attach files with Hotmail?? Help please!!

When I am in Hotmail and reply to a message and try to attach a file- I get
directed to a page stating my version of IE is not up to date and this action
does not support?
When I click on the link to try update/download any new versions of IE6 my
pc says it already is up to date?
Also there are error pages when I try to empty my junk mail folder, my
deelted messages folder and also my contacts page is not working 100% correct
too.
I have not noticed any problems whith any other web pages- just Hotmail?
Also- if I go to Microsoft Updates page- again I get the message taht my
browser is not up to date??
Anyone Help!!!!???

I'm sorry to say that I dont have a fix for you, but I will tell you that
I've had so many problems with Hotmail (my mail service for over 4 years)
that I decided it was time to ditch it and find something faster and more
reliable. I settled with Google's service, Gmail, and couldn't be happier!
It is still in beta form, and you need to be invited to use the service, but
I'll be more than glad to send you an invitation if you'd be interested in a
Gmail account.

possible the UserAgent entry in the registry of that computer is the
issue. The web site looks for that to see what browser you are using and to
change it's web page display as appropriate.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet
Settings

For WinXP and IE 6 the value should be -
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Win32)

Resolution section.
