Cannot activate Windows XP

I have installed Windows XP Pro on my new computer. My problem is that I
can't activate it. When the window comes up and gives me the options to
activate on the internet, by phone or later and I click on "Next" - nothing
happens. Now my activation period has expired and I can't even get the phone
number to call and activate. I believe my original partition is too full,
but I can't get into Windows now to uninstall any programs. I would
appreciate any help you can give me.

So why didn't you do something about it sooner, instead of waiting for the
activation period to expire?! You had plenty of time. Or isn't 30 days
enough for you? And why on earth should the fact that you couldn't activate
have to do with the fullness of your hard drive? Why didn't you buy a bigger
one to begin with?! I don't see you have much option now, unless someone
knows different, but to reinstall Windows.
