Cannot access .wmv files

I have few clips with .wmv extensions.

I was cleaning My Document folder deliting obsolet and duplicate files.

While cleaning I had to move my folders between C and D drive because of
space constraints.

After cleaning and trimming I now find that my clips have changed from wmv
to wmv.afs extentions and I cannot access them.

What is afs extention and how do I get rid of them.

I am using Windows XP with SP2.

Windows does not use the .afs extension and Windows does not create that
extension. http://filext.com/file-extension/AFS

What is afs extention and how do I get rid of them.

Why don't you rename these files. Note also that there is Malware
around tampering and/or renaming multimedia files in particular.
