I did a fresh install of windows 2K on my home computer
and updated it with sp4 and all the critical updates.
Prior to installing the critical updates I installed
Norton's Antivirus with the latest definitions so I could
avoid any viruses during all the updates. I have set no
security restrictions and use the admin user I set up
during the install to automatically log in.
When I try to access Tools->Internet Options, I get the
message "This operation has been cancelled due to
restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact
your system administrator". The user I created during the
install in a member of the Administrator's group which has
full permission. I don't understand why I can't access the
Internet Options. If this has been changed by some
malicious program, how can I change it back? Norton's AV
does not detect any viruses.
Thanks.
