Cannot access secure websites

I cannot access any secure websites from my computer
(i.e. email). I have tried every possible solution
offered on the Microsoft support page, including the re
installation of Internet explorer. Does anyone know of
any other possible solution? Your suggestions would be
greatly appreciated
