Something happened so that I can no longer access websites that require a sign on. When I boot up I get a message "The procedure entry point 1_CryptInstallAsn1Module could not be located in the dynamic link library Crypt32.dl

When I try to download Adobe Acrobat Reader I get an error message, "cannot find wintrust.dll

I've run Norton utilities but it can't fix this (these) problem(s)

I'm running Windows NT on a home computer.

What versions of those modules do you have?
(Version, Modification date and Size)

What maintenance level are you supposed to be at
with them? E.g.

<TITLE>MS03-041 : Vulnerability in Authenticode Verification Could Allow Remote Code Execution (823182)</TITLE>
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms03-041.mspx

(Google web search for
"Security Patch Information" wintrust crypt32 site:microsoft.com
)

Check out also schannel.dll
and look at your Cipher Strength. (Alt-H,A)
