cannot access secure sites

I am sure others are having this problem, too, but all of
a sudden we cannot access secure web sites using IE6.0
We get the "The page cannot be displayed" message.
Any suggestions would be great! I tried the "regserve"
tip below, but with no success!

Thanks for the help - BUT - after many hours trying,
including downloading the recommended patch to fix this
problem, restarting my computer a dozen times, I still
cannot access https:// sites. I see MS recognizes there
is a problem, but I am confused as to why the patch does
not work. Any other ideas???????
