cannot access necessary file

Using norton Utilities I get a message that a certain prigram cannot access a
necssary file"gapi32.dll". or "wnaspi32.dll" both these files are on my
drive, how can I fex this error?

I'd check with Symantec. What's the reason you're running Norton Utilities?
It was very useful in its day, but I can't think of any reason to use this
in XP.
