cannot access files from 3.5in floppy

CAN ANYONE HELP ME?IAM TRYING TO OPEN FILES FROM A FLOPPY
DISC,BUT THEY KEEP COMING UP AS ENCRYPTED,AM A COMPLETE
TECHNOPHOBE AND DO NOT HAVE A CLUE WHAT TO DO,HELP!!!!

Which program was used to create the files saved to
the floppy? Did you install the same program in the
computer before attempting to open the files?
