CanGrow with Memo fields?

Hi, I have a report which amongst other things prints out some memo fields.
It was all working fine, with teh text box growing etc with different lengths
memos, until a change was requested to the output.

Text in the memo field(s) was replaced with parameter placeholders in the
database so that when printed the placeholders could be replaced with other
text.

The replacement works fine but the text box does not grow to show the full
text of the memo. The Cangrow properties of the text box, detail section are
set to Yes, just as before. The only way I can get the text to fully print is
by setting the text box height to the maximum probable height. but then there
is lots of white space after the shorter memo fields.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

When are you replacing the text?
In the Print event or the Detail section?
If so, try its Format event.

Yes the replace was being done in the Print Event, moving it to the Format
Event fixed it. Thankyou!! Was beginning to tear my hair out and the bald
look doesn't suit me.
