Cancelled meeting keeps popping up on Calendar

I received a meeting invitation that I accepted. The organizer cancelled the
meeting which sent a meeting cancellation email. I clicked on "Remove from
Calendar" button. It seemed to remove it from the calendar at the time.
Then a few moments later, it would reappear on the calendar. I've tried this
a couple of times. Any ideas?

Hi Kathleen,
Thanks for the suggestion but that did not do anything to the meeting
entry. The entry on the calendar says that the meeting has been cancelled,
but I want to delete the message all together everytime I click the "Remove
from Calendar", or is that not the right way to do it?

Yes, and It did get deleted when I do that. I'm trying to use the minimal
number of steps to clear meeting off of a group of people's calendar. The
meeting was generated by an Access application, so I want to use Access to
remove the meeting. Do you know if there's a way to do that (to remove the
meeting from eveybody's calendar without them having to do it individually)?
