Can you run a DOS based program on Windows 2000 Pro?

Is this possible? If so, how?

DOS programs do run on W2k but support is limited to emulation. If the
program does call some functions that are not emulated, it doesn't work. And
there's not much you can do. You can either have DOS on a separate partition
and boot to it or you can boot off a floppy disk or a bootable CD.

Some things are expressly disallowed and never work under NT: Direct
hardware access, graphics using direct memory access, port access and such.
In this case, you only option is dual boot.
