Can you cross-reference a Comment in a Word doc?

When reviewing a document and inserting Comments, can you cross-reference
comments so that referals to other comments already made can be facilitated
and avoid issues of renumbering when additional comments are added?

No, Word doesn't let you cross-reference comment numbers.

Have you considered using footnotes instead? They can easily be
cross-referenced, and when you are done reviewing the document, you can
delete the footnotes by replacing ^f with nothing.
