Can you create a certificate or award using Access?

I am using Access 2002. I have a database created and would like to create
an award or certificate, using some of the datafields. Is this possible
using reports? If so how do i do it?

Sure. Just pull the data fields to your report and add text boxes, labels,
pictures, lines, shapes, etc. to make it look the way you want.

No way for us to guide you step-by-step because we don't know what you want
the certificate to look like.

It is possible, but it is not likely the best tool unless you are going
to need many awards for different people.

MS Word (which is likely your best bet) can do it and it also can allow
you to print a group of awards with different names or other wording on each
one.

For something more fancy then I suggest MS Publisher, which may also
have the basic database functions.

I once did a database for a county clerk office to track marriage licenses.
As part of it I had Access overprint information on a fancy marriage
certificate. It took a lot of work to line things up plus it would only work
right on one specific printer. Still it was do-able.

I have a database where I created the Certificate in Powerpoint minus fields
dumped the screen to the clipboard (Print Screen) i then cut out the
Certificate in Paint pasted it on to my report and added the fieled i.e name,
course date and printed the report onto card looked very professional found
it works best if you set picture size mode to "Zoom" need to be careful
setting placeholeders as will look slightly out in design veiw but will look
fine in print preview

As the others have already said, it is quite easy to do. A certificate is
simply a report in landscape format. You can buy special certificate paper
at an office supply store and use fancy fonts to make a very nice product.
