Hi Brian ,

You can with XL2002 and above but not earlier versions. It is just a
right-click option on the sheet tab name.

Hi
depending on your Excel version. This feature was introduced with Excel
2002 (or Excel 2000?). Right click on the tab name and there is a menu
for this ('tab color')
For versions prior to this: no chance

Hi Racer!

For Excel 2002 and above right click the sheet tab.

For Versions below that level, you can't change the tab colour but you
can put classifiers on the tabs to group them:

eg

a1. 1999 Revenue
a2. 1999 Costs
a3. 1999 Summary
b1. 2000 Revenue
etc.

You can then sort the tabs manually or with a subroutine.
