Can you change multiple contacts in batch?

Can you change multiple contacts in batch?
For example, I need to change the "category" field of multiple contacts.
Is this feasible with Outlook XP?

It is possible for Category but it's not possible for all item properties to
do this without scripting.

For Categories;
-select all the Contacts you want to assign a specific category to (using a
list view is handy to accomplish this)
-rightclick the selection and choose Categories... to assign it a category.

if you are using a group by category view, you can drag the contacts to a
group. Note that this technique is not limited to categories, it works with
many fields.
