Can workgroup mode be trusted by native mode domain?

If username and password are the same, can a native mode domain be
setup to trust and authenticate a computer/user that is in workgroup
mode? Like it works when the domain is in mixed mode.

No. Trusts are designed for communication between domains or Kerberos
Realms.

You could join the machine to the domain, then that in "essence" will be
trusted to the domain for it's machine account.

You could also create an identical user/pass on the local machine that is a
user or admin account on the domain to be able to access it's resources.
