Can Word reopen a file in the same place where it was closed?

My Word documents always open at the beginning of the document. This is
usually a pain, especially with large documents which I frequently create.
I have looked everywhere I can think of in Word 2007 for a setting that will
make Word open a document at the same located where it was saved. Is there
such a creature?

Unfortunately, no. The GoBack command (Shift+F5) doesn't work in Word 2007
(that is, the bookmark isn't saved when you close the document; you can use
it while the document is open).
