Can Word and Mail Merge be used to e-mail?

I e-mail about 30 newsletters at a time and I'd like to be able to mailmerge
and then e-mail the newsletters. Is there a way that can be done?

In the body of the email or as an attachment?

In the body of the e-mail. I'd like to send out a newsletter and only have
the one recipient shown in the "to" block. There are several aftermarket
programs but they always scramble the graphics.

As you have no control over how the recipient views their email, I would
suggest that you send the document as an attachment and probably best to
convert it to .pdf so that you can be really sure how they will see it.

To then send it out by mailmerge to email, see the article "Mail Merge to
E-mail with Attachments" at:

Hope this helps.

I have found that Word's Help file provides pretty detailed instructions on
merging to email. Look for the topic "Create and distribute merged e-mail
messages."

Thank you very much Susan, I guess I haven't run across it yet although I did
try various search terms. I'm sure I'll be able to find it.
