Can windows 2000 run 2 domains?

FurBot

Our company recently bought out another company and ive been asked to
incorporate the two of them.
They would like to keep the 2 domains separate for web page
urposes( company1.com and company2.com)
Is it possible to for windows 2000 to host both these domains on 1 server so
all managament(file permissions, domain sec policy and group policy)
is central or would this require 2 separate servers?

Thanks
Andy

It is not possible to have 2 domains on one server. You will need two
servers to have 2 domains. It is possible to manage both of them from one
location. You can point the AD management tools to any domain that you wish
to manage as long as you have an account with the permissions to manage
them.

You need two servers or virtual servers. With that said, given the
reason you want two domains, there is absolutely nothing there that
*requires* two domains. Web page domain name maintenance is simply
DNS mapping.

It is not possible to have 2 domains in one server. instead you can have 2
domains in 2 different server and have a trust relation between each other.
so that you can manage users & resources from a single server. also you can
install adminpak.msi in different computer and do the administration
activities of both domains from a single point.
