can we update or upgrade the MMC?

im running win2k machine... my com hav their own image, so that when i check the MMC console its mentions as MMC 1.2 and SP4, wondering on that. as per my knowledge its supposed to be MMC 2.0 for SP4, so is there any possible to upgrade the versions?
