Can view shared files from one comp but not vica versa

Have looked at previous posts and Knowledge base 318030
(http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;318030&Product=winxp) describes the problem but
following the points doesnt solve the problem.

I have enabled Netbios over IP/IP for both comps and the
computer browser says 'started' on both.

If I click on View workgroup computers on my laptop it
still says "MSHOME is not accessible. You do not have
permission to use this network connection. Contact the ...
The list of servers for this workgroup is currently
unavailable".
Both computers have the same workgroup name.
Please help
