can vb/vba listen for a network connection?

I have inherited code that is trying to append txt file information from one
location into an access database in another location. I think I am
experiencing network outages and loosing my data. How do I modify this code
to 'listen' for the connection while it is appending the data?

Hi Newbie,

There is a way, but it will be a lot cheaper, simpler, easier, faster to fix
your network. Programming is never the solution to network outages.
