I have a system boot-up hard drive going bad. I have another hard drive on
the same computer. Can I transfer the system to the good hard drive?

This can be done easily by making a backup of your disk onto another disk
with a backup program. You can then swap drives or install a new drive and
copy the backup drive back to the new drive.

If the drive is going bad & its giving errors in apps, ie bad clusters
causing file corruption, then an image will likely simply copy any
corruption.

If its still sound then an Imaging App eg Acronis True Image - there are
others - can be used
You may also find your HD manufacturers site has a free clone utility
Whichever you choose simply follow the instructions, specifically those that
say to shutdown PC after image/clone completed
