Can templates be on another drive?

Can I put my Word templates out on a network share and somehow have Wor
find them when I click File | New

I believe you can point users' Workgroup Templates folder to a network share
(with a shortcut in the local folder?).

Under Tools => Options => File Locations
set the Workgroup Templates Folder as your network folder.
