I have a big problem and am wondering if ne one can help!?
The windows explorer for my xp machine quites every time i
try and access any folder on my computer! Example: i try
and get into my recycle bin to see what i have deleted. All
of a sudden the screen goes blank and an error messege pops
up saying windows explorer has encountered a problem and
needs to close. if ne one knows how to solve this besides
reinstalling it would be appreciated if u could lend a
helping hand! Thanx!

You cn reinstall without formatting or losing any files.
Just use the new installation option. Install in the
directory you have Windows in right now. Use dynamic
update. Just remember your user accounts and mark all teh
folders except the All Users folder in the Docments and
Settings folder "read only." To do that, try going to
Start-> Run-> Browse... Right-click the folders you want
to make read-only.

.
Sounds like u may have deleted a file that is needed for
running exporer. if so, you cant get it back usually, u
can try restore, but if not, the windows xp disk, has a
recovery option that will give u the option to repair
current windows xp. but you will need to boot from the cd
rom and then check the option to repair, not reformat
