Can send from MS Outlook Express but not from MS Outlook

Problem - e-mail composed in MS Outlook are not sent, email is received.
e-mail composed in MS Outlook Express is sent, email is received. I want to
use MS Outlook to send and receive e-mail.

Configuration - Verizon is my new FIOS broadband ISP supplier. I want to
keep my existing ISP e-mail supplier for at least 2 or 3 months. Under
<Tools> <E-Mail Accounts> <Change or Add an Account> the settings are the
same for both programs including <Outgoing Server> information.

What am I doing wrong? I could live with Outlook Express but Outlook is the
most usefull program for me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When you send them do they show up in your webbased mailbox?
