can see but cant access comp on network

have home network set up behind wireless router. desktop can see and access
laptop. Laptop can see but not access desktop, access denied.

Have set permisions to everyone
both comp's on same workgroup
File sharing on
have run network wizard a couple of times

what could be denying access??

Make sure no firewall blocking the access. what do you receive is using net view \\desktopip? if it is system error 5, this is permission issue.
